I'm working on improving my style and expression while continuing to pursue multiple angles of images. I miss the feel of film but unfortunately I just do not have enough hours in my week to get into the lab and start producing. There is a clear line in quality of film over digital not to mention that the megapixel count on properly scanned film is still beyond the ability for $20k+ digital cameras. Unfortunately I am stuck somewhere in photography limbo where I need to fill my own desire with CS5 and my perception through a monitor. Any great tutorials on rendering specific styles would be greatly appreciated. I've loved and hated Photoshop for nearly a decade and I don't image our tumultuous relationship will end anytime soon.

My new obsession with urban exploration has brought me to some amazingly dangerous and non-traditionally beautiful places. All I need now is to start editing and posting more. All I need is an assistant to get my ass on track. On top of that I could really use a Bogan carbon fiber tripod with a really great multi-axis head. My old Manfrotto tripod is incredibly sturdy, but really heavy. My fear is that if I have to run it will slow me down, always on the looking for security and crackheads. (I can't believe crackheads didn't come up on spell check)

It's recently come to my attention that I've forgotten how much I love to look and feel of my fair city. The Windy City's loving embrace has given me another chance to do right by it and I plan on answering. It's my goal to return to my urban graffiti shoots as well as my old man Chicago feel of photography. The soft brown/green hues of classic color film against the backdrop of a dirty city clad in world class architecture, cigars, the best sports teams in the world, traffic, smokey dive bars and late nights has reinvigorated my love for capturing the city that originally breathed a post-pubescent vigor for art and life into me.

It feel so good to be back.
